Supporting Autistic Children and Families in Staffordshire and Surrounding Areas

BLAST is a Burntwood-based charity committed to supporting Autistic children, young people, and their families across Staffordshire. Our aim is to help them lead healthier lives, gain greater independence, and build brighter futures. We share knowledge about Autism, provide peer support, and offer children social, creative, and physical opportunities in a safe, secure, and non-judgmental environment. At BLAST, we promote community inclusion by helping organisations and the wider community understand and adapt to the needs of Autistic people and their families.

Promoting Community Inclusion

BLAST is dedicated to raising Autism awareness and acceptance within the local community. We work closely with organisations, businesses, and community groups to improve understanding of Autism and the challenges Autistic individuals and their families face. By increasing awareness, we aim to foster a more inclusive environment where everyone feels supported and valued. Additionally, we strive to make public spaces and services more accessible, ensuring that Autistic individuals are given the opportunities they deserve to flourish.

Offering Activities for Everyone

At BLAST, we offer a variety of activities tailored to meet the social, creative, and physical needs of Autistic children. These activities take place in areas with high levels of inequality and vulnerability, ensuring that children most in need receive the support they require. Our activities are free or low-cost to ensure financial barriers do not stop families from accessing help. We are committed to creating a safe, welcoming space where children can engage, connect, and develop through fun and enriching activities.
