Autism Support Together

Helping Families Navigate Life in a Neurotypical Word

BLAST is a grassroots charity dedicated to supporting autistic young people and their families, young adults, and their families across Staffordshire and surrounding areas. We offer a range of activities, events, and workshops designed to create safe, inclusive spaces for families to connect, learn, and thrive. We ensure Autistic voices are heard in shaping policies and best practices, advocating for meaningful change and greater understanding within our community.

Events Tailored for Autistic Individuals and their Families

At BLAST, we understand the unique challenges faced by Autistic individuals and their families. Our workshops equip parents and carers with essential knowledge about Autism, providing practical advice on how best to support their children. From archery to paddle-boarding, our organised activities offer safe, enjoyable environments for Autistic children and young adults, helping to promote social interaction and emotional development.

Advocating for Change by Getting our Voices Heard

We are a fully independent charity run by parent carers or parent carers. We do not share families data but we do work with local authorities and the NHS to improve services and influence positive change for autistic people. By sitting on advisory boards, we ensure that services and support are tailored to the specific needs of Autistic people, rather than based on assumptions. Our efforts help shape inclusive practices and legislation that truly reflect the needs of our community.

Building a Supportive Community

BLAST is committed to raising awareness of Autism across Staffordshire and the surrounding areas, working with other organisations to promote understanding and inclusion. Our events, such as cinema days and community meet-ups, provide opportunities for families to connect, share experiences, and build lasting friendships. Together, we are building a stronger, more supportive community for everyone.
